The Department of Theatre is overseen year-round by our professional residential theatre, Mercury Theatre Company. Performance opportunities range from intimate plays to full-scale musicals. One production is presented each semester. There are also additional performance opportunities throughout the school year and in the summer months with Mercury Theatre Company.

Mercury Theatre Company exists to create extraordinary theatrical experiences, and to advance theatre as a means of educating, challenging and inspiring the Greater Cleveland community and its young people through family-friendly programming of rarely seen and premier works, innovative staging, and through its educational outreach and My First Musical program.

As part of our dedication to Arts Education, Performing Arts Scholarships are available for incoming students. This is a remarkable opportunity that NDC offers students, regardless of their academic interests or athletic involvement.
