Help with Moodle
What is Moodle?

Moodle is a web-based learning management system (LMS) sometimes known as a virtual learning environment (VLE). Moodle software helps professors, teachers, and trainers create and deliver effective and engaging online learning to students.

Notre Dame College relies on Moodle for its campus-based courses, as well as its hybrid (a blend of online and on-campus) and online courses. However, the College uses two versions of Moodle. A fully campus-based classroom course uses Moodle version 3.11. This version of Moodle is hosted and supported by our internal IT department, which is different from the one which hosts and supports the online and hybrid learning courses and programs.

It is customary for students taking online and hybrid courses to use the Moodle version 3.10. Although there are similarities to the campus-based Moodle environment, there are notable differences as well. Online Moodle is hosted and supported by our education partner, Wiley. If you need technical support, please contact Wiley by email (support@learninghouse.com) or phone (800.985.9781).

Moodle for Online Students

Courses that do not meet on campus are considered fully online and can be accessed at https://ndc.learninghouse.com. Use your NDC username and password to access the courses.

Since fully online students may be located anywhere in the world, NDC has provided additional virtual technologies such as Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams where students have access to virtual classrooms, virtual meetings with their instructors and several other technological tools and features.
